Ask your MLA, the healthcare boards, and worksafe NB why nobody is protecting workers from airborne transmission of disease in NB. #NbPoli
I personally provide HUNDREDS of dollars a month of Canadian-made respirators in various healthcare locations in NB. I don’t know how much longer I can financially do this. This is all so damn wrong. Why is a private citizen trying to protect patients and workers so hard when institutions 🙈🙉🙊

Wastewater data updated 2 days ago. Looking Covid-y in much of NB. We know what to do!
- wear a well-fitting respirator when sharing air. Covid is airborne so this is the most important step.
- immediately do what you can to improve IAQ. Crack some windows. Add filtration. Improve ventilation.

To @susanholtnb.bsky.social and all others running this province. Please consider giving us the tools we need to stay safe in the face of this quickly changing climate. The fact that we STILL don’t have clean air, a plan towards or mitigation measures in place instead is absurd.

my therapist was like, “Alicia, a nap fixes tired. you’re weary.”

"The most spectacular failure in recent memory was the refusal of international health leaders to address the cold, hard, scientific reality of airborne COVID transmission. "
In 1846, a doctor proved handwashing could save lives.

He was mocked by the medical establishment, lost his job, and was eventually committed to an asylum. Shortly after, he was beaten to death by attendants while trying to escape.

In some ways, medicine is still kind of like this. See why:

I can’t stop thinking about the Canadian politician who became disabled at 60 and ended up homeless

Other politicians came together to raise over 40k in less than 48 hours … because they KNOW you can’t survive on government assistance.

So why aren’t we changing policies? 🧵/1
