Influenza vaccines for this year are about 50% effective against all severity of influenza in adults and slightly more effective in young children, about 62% against severe infections. This is a good level of protection and it matters. Get a flu shot🧪

As Julian McWilliams reported, the Red Sox are close to finalizing a deal for Crochet. Reminiscent of the Beckett deal: Trade for two years of control of a young pitcher with nasty stuff (36% K rate) who has ace upside if he can stay on the mound for a full season.

Healthcare should not be based on job or wealth. Every other modernized country has figured out this out. Why not us? Because the insurance lobby has bought govmt and convinced Americans "socialized" medicine is bad. Imagine your house on fire and having to be "approved" for the fire department.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Won’t Pay for the Complete Duration of Anesthesia for Patients’ Surgical Procedures
In an unprecedented move, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plans representing Connecticut, New York and Missouri have unilaterally declared it will no longer pay for anesthesia care if the surgery or procedure goes beyond an arbitrary time limit, regardless of how long the surgical procedure takes. The American Society of Anesthesiologists calls on Anthem to reverse this proposal immediately.
