IT'S OFFICIAL: Shoreline (pop. 63,740) becomes the latest Washington city to fully eliminate all mandates for off-street parking in new development following a 6-0 vote just now.

This makes Shoreline the sixth city statewide and the largest city in King County to take this step in land use reform.

The Seattle council is meeting to discuss a new comprehensive plan, which must comply with a new state law allowing 4 to 6 units per lot. It also would allow small apartments directly on and within 1-3 blocks of 30 intersections, which has caused some property owners to lose their minds. Let's go!
