The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Just so we're clear: The President is contesting a ruling saying he has to FEED HIS PEOPLE. He would rather hold that money hostage so that he can REMOVE PEOPLE'S HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS. Not ONCE has any of the money he claims he is "saving" been given to the people. Not then, not now, not ever.

Thinking about it this morning... If someone from the right needs help, who do they expect to help them? Their own "pull yourselves up by your bootstraps" "WOKE is a derogatory term" completely un-compassionate political peers? It's pretty clear they didn't think this through.

It shouldn't surprise me so much that when a person's life stoked so much hatred, their death would stoke even more hatred. Their rhetoric is a weapon and everyone who drinks it up becomes a tool of the side wielding that weapon.

I have little empathy for Trump voters / supporters (and yet likely still so much more empathy than they they have for others), but I can also maintain my humanity in feeling that no one deserves to die due to a climate disaster. Never dance on someone else's grave, especially if it is a child's.

With this budget, ICE alone would have nearly as large a detention operation as all 50 states' prison systems combined. Bigger budget than the Marine Corps. Police-state levels of spending
