Seem to recall when the Biden admin was (misleadingly) accused of putting pressure on social media companies to change their editorial policies (most of which were rejected) we were told by a large segment of the population (and a few judges) that it was the worst violation of the 1st Amendment ever
New: CBS News has changed its interview format in reaction to complaints from DHS. According to a statement from a network spokesperson, Face The Nation will now only broadcast live or live to tape interviews

Today we learned that in June the US economy lost jobs for the first time since 2020. We haven’t seen this kind of net job loss since - well, since the last time Trump was in charge.

This story is WILD. Trump sent Seal Team 6 into North Korea to plant a listening device. The entire thing went sideways within minutes of landing when they noticed a fishing boat near the beach. They killed everyone on board, sunk the bodies to cover their tracks, and fled. Congress was never told.

The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

Opinion | Yes, Trump and Kennedy are decapitating the CDC, but they're keeping TikTok alive despite a Congressional ban, so Americans will still receive all the health and medical information that they need.

Opinion | As a Republican senator, I voted to confirm RFK Jr. as Secretary of Health of Human Services. But if I hadn't done it, I'd have been primaried by someone who would have voted to confirm RFK Jr. as Secretary of Health of Human Services.

In this Ohio diner, War is a strategic card game and Defense is the type of lawyer they make you hire after a Michigan fan got in your face. But they do know this: Donald Trump's landslide 49% of the vote gives him a mandate to rename every department in the federal government.

The press grilled Biden over bike rides and coughs, but when it comes to Trump’s health, they toss him garbage questions like Peter Doocy’s: “How did you find out you were dead?”

That’s not journalism, that’s the most ridiculous, toothless version of a question, served up that way on purpose.

Trump's never going to get to heaven like this!

Tuesday's cold-blooded strike on a boat in the Caribbean that murdered 11 people has zero legal justification, but that's not the worst part. He's sending a message that a dictatorial POTUS has no limit

My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/trum...
Trump won’t get to heaven if he keeps murdering people on boats
There was no legal or moral justification for the Trump-ordered boat bombing that killed 11 Venezuelans. It could be just the start.

That's assuming there's any accountability even under oath. Every right-wing Supreme Court Justice said Roe was settled law, how'd that turn out? Trump nominees regularly get up in front of Congress and butcher the truth. I haven't seen any perjury convictions.
Ah.
So the committee didn't put RFK Jr under oath because they knew he would end up in jail because he's a rasping liar.
Unfortunately, the committee didn’t swear him in this morning so no perjury but he’s the biggest lying sack of shit ever! He stains the Kennedy name. JFK and RFK must be rolling over in their graves. RFK, Jr is an absolute awful piece of shit!!

This administration believed it has a god-given right — nay, a duty! — to lie brazenly to the American people
Today, Senate Republicans refused to have RFK Jr. sworn in under oath to give his testimony.

I find it telling that Republicans refuse to take even symbolic steps to show they care about transparency and truth from the man in charge of the agency tasked with America's health.

DOJ is openly stating that "trannies shouldn't have guns."

The Trump administration is moving to strip trans people of their 2nd amendment rights. Nothing good ever comes out of an authoritarian regime stripping a minority group of owning guns.

the msm has turned "must be objective" into "we cant assert basic facts"
something that drives me nuts is how legacy media will write that "scholars question legality" of a trump administration action when there is not a shred of evidence that it is in fact legal. it leaves room for the federal government to manufacture a legal justification when literally none exists.

The real story here is that Republicans know the only conceivable chance of getting Trump to give a shit about putting a sociopath in charge of public health is to swaddle it in obsequious praise for Trump and try to get him to see said sociopath as somehow diminishing Trump's glory.
Bill Cassidy's line of questioning was clever -- he pressed Kennedy on how he can praise Trump for Operation Warp Speed while at the same time denigrating vaccines.

Here's the beginning of the exchange.
