Lots of Americans coming on here to try wash their hands of this being the actions of a lone despot, as if they haven't been complicit in even worse than this while "the other side" was in power 18 months ago.. why have you not done anything by now if you're so against war?

Worked beyond their wildest dreams, insane to think the precedent this sets. Get called out for genocide? Simply bomb another country and you'll have the US and UK rowing in behind you before the week is out
Israel banked on loads of world leaders forgetting about the genocide cause they decided to start bombing a different neighbouring country, and it has completely worked.
The fact that this is a headline. The fact that they have been slaughtering people seeking aid for WEEKS.

Haven’t watched Adolescence yet but I see we’re pretending that it’s only kids who are radicalised by their darn phones and not a sizeable portion of the adult population. Including journalists, politicians and your favourite content creators

The fact that there might be a conclave so close to a movie about one has really motivated me to finish my screenplay "The Tech CEO Who Died of Diarrhea So Explosive The Coroner Said He Had No Lower Back to Speak Of"

Lads, Fianna Fail and Fine Gael removed the eviction ban deliberately putting 100's into homelessness and almost got an overall majority between the 2 of them on the back of it, they've gotten the green light from voters to remove the rent pressure zones. There'll be no electoral consequences for it

6 from 10 watched of this year's oscar best picture list and I have to say it's a poor batch this year, seen The Brutalist today and it's just so poor, nice looking and decent performances but absolutely nothing to earn 3+ hour run time in that story, such a tedious film

This is an insane statistic. In 2010, I was 25 and living in Dublin. It was far from an economic paradise (the recession was really gearing up, and me and about fifty people I knew would leave within the next 18 months) but I only knew one person my age, maybe two, who lived with their parents.
What’s it like to be 25 in Ireland today? 70% live at home with their parents, CSO finds

Starting this a day later than planned.. but in 2021 I listened to an album almost every day for a year, it was great for my mental and physical health and I'm going to thread it here. Might not be as consistent as every day as we're not in covid lockdown but here we go, recs more than welcome
