This is why it's important to support independent journalism like @texasobserver.org.
NEW: X has become a hotbed of neo-Nazi content under Elon Musk. We identified the operators of four anonymous accounts that share racist, antisemitic, and neo-Nazi content. Three live in Texas. Musk has replied to two of them. One works for the Navy.

Also please assign it to a trans journalist as an actual feature, not a personal essay, I am begging you. There are tons of great trans political journalists out there, such as @transscribe.bsky.social, who knows a little somthing about being openly trans on Capitol Hill.
Dear Editors — If you’re considering publishing an article about issues related to transgender people, then perhaps you should consider assigning that article to a transgender journalist. Don’t have any transgender journalists in your newsroom?

@transjournalists.org has several valuable resources:
Trans Journalists Association
Promoting more accurate, nuanced coverage of trans issues and communities in the media. Supporting gender-expansive journalists in their careers.

Be wary of any reporting that regurgitates Trump's claim that Brendan Carr is a "warrior for Free Speech." He's actually the opposite, willing to use the FCC to go after TV broadcasters that are "unfair" to Trump, or to punish fact-checkers, like NewsGuard, that vet Trump's many false claims.
