Three key points:
1) The admin has been planning mass firings to begin in October since February
2) The work necessary to carry out mass firings is illegal during a shutdown, violating the Antideficiency Act, which carries a criminal penalty
3) This harms America, ridding us of talent and expertise

This morning, the Trump Administration’s Department of War gave me an ultimatum: call up your troops, or we will. It is absolutely outrageous and un-American to demand a Governor send military troops within our own borders and against our will.

Yeah fuck you JD. The Union negotiated nothing when we beat the Confederacy.
The Allies kept killing Nazi's till they surrendered in WW2. There was no negotiation with Japan, either.

JD Vance: "This is how wars ultimately get settled. If you go back to World War 2, if you go back to every major conflict in human history, they all end with some kind of negotiation."

Senator Tobin has the tiger by the tail. Inefficiencies have been introduced by well-intentioned efforts at oversight.

We should hire well trained experts in childhood education and trust them to do their jobs.

Reporting requirements should always come with increased funds for administration.
2. Policymakers keep adding more reporting and "accountability" requirements on schools which demand someone spend countless hours filing out forms, writing reports, and submitting spreadsheets.

3. Targeted school funding requires someone tracks the students and services who get those $$$.

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.
