Tell us how you really feel about the legislature failing to equalize our corporate tax system…

Instead of taxing lower 48 tech billionaires the same as Alaska-based corporations, the legislature failed to override the Governor’s veto of SB 113.

A lot is going on but remember that "Dear Colleauge" letter the UA Board of Regents used to justify stripping our state universities of their inclusion and diversity policies?

I'm angered at the damage done and the trust broken. Do better @uafairbanks.bsky.social

The Trump Administration cannot erase the legacy of MLK nor the historical truism of Juneteenth by forcing Americans to pay admission to our nation's national parks.

"Quietly endure, silently suffer and patiently wait." Martin Luther King, Jr.
It might be easy to find things like this merely petty or superficial, but that would be a mistake. Demeaning, erasing or eliminating celebrations or acknowledgments of Black America is straight from Redemption playbook, and is intended to reinforce the racial hierarchy and signal its reinstatement.
National parks change prioritizes Trump birthday over days honoring Black people
Free entrance days at national parks no longer include MLK Day and Juneteenth.

In honor of the start of the 2nd session of the 34th Alaska State Legislature, this week's #SundayStory offers some public testimony pro-tips:

✅ don't use the speaker phone, your voice becomes muffled
✅ do practice your testimony and time yourself (limits are often set at 2 - 3 minutes) 1/2
Public testimony pro-tip:

DON'T USE the speaker phone or hands free headsets.

Your voice gets muffled and words become garbled.

Speak through your handheld to ensure the committee members hear your input. 🤳☎️📲

Now, go tell your friends.

The annual airing of grievances is upon us and I couldn't agree more with this one!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I live in Alaska.
It's part of the United States.
If you ship to/within the U.S. there should NOT be exceptions for AK and HI.
If you do limit shipping to AK and HI, please post that up front, so I don't go through your entire site, put things in my cart, then find out AFTER I hit order.
Let’s air those grievances. I want to hear your pettiest gripes on this the holiest of days.
