When the G20 was here some officers tried to kettle me & my pregnant friend after we left a coffee shop.
I argued with them until they let us go, knowing my safety wasn’t threatened.

Ballots like this embarrass BBWAA, sully the voting process and disrespect the people who actually matter - the eligible players.
The Hall of Fame should be ashamed of how degraded the process for inducting people into the Hall has become, and realize this will eventually render it meaningless.

I’ve honestly made meals that are better than anything I’ve ordered. Need to keep it going 💪🏼

It’s not this site specifically, it’s just that social media has convinced us that all our thoughts are important and that how we deliver them doesn’t matter either.

i think this site really needs to figure out how to grow the non-politics verticals (the baseball moment was a good thing!) because i suspect a lot of the bad clusters come out of the political clusters driving 95% of ENG-lang posts

I wrote section 230 to protect user speech, not a company's own speech. I've long said AI chatbot outputs are not protected by 230 and that it is not a close call. Given that the Trump administration is going to the mat to protect pedophiles, states should step in to hold Musk and X accountable.
I am not a Section 230 expert but being that Twitter is creating and publishing these photos I wonder if they actually have any civil legal protection? @kenwhite.bsky.social ? @akivamcohen.bsky.social ?
What X is allowing Grok to do is unlawful or regulatory-illegal in multiple jurisdictions, creates clear DSA violations, and continues despite regulator scrutiny. The images do not need to be pornographic, non-consensual sexualised or intimate depictions are enough.

My neighbour and I grab packages for each other when we’re not home.
Grabbed one now just as a neighbour I’ve never seen before was leaving her apartment.
My assurance that ‘don’t worry I was asked to take this’ was met with more suspicion.
So pretty sure my new neighbour thinks I’m a thief.
