Academia has this way of making you feel utterly unsuccessful even when by any reasonable standard you are doing just fine.

That time I warned men about the perils of tanning and slapping their balls in @caulfieldtim.bsky.social’s CBC documentary about the intersection of the manosphere and wellness industry, called Harder Better Faster Stronger.

So sad that people decided that public health was less important than their beliefs in unproven theories. My daughter survived chemotherapy as a toddler in part because most kids were immunized. It is very dangerous for people with compromised immunities right now. 😢

One step forward, two steps back. Academic research life can feel demoralizing and thankless at times.

You know things are rough when the AAUP's advice on how to use social media is just "set all your accounts to private."
The @aaup.org just shared guidance for academic workers on how to protect themselves online www.aaup.org/news/advisor...

My feed is full of news reports that I might see northern lights tonight.

Is there an app or website that tells you when to look up?

Anyone in #academia or #MedEd have tips for shutting down your brain when on "vacation" so you don't spend every waking hour stressing about all the work you have to do?

I am still new-ish to the #Academic mentoring and training thing. A summer student just gave me a thank you card and its been the highlight of the day hearing they enjoyed learning.

Sometimes everything feels like work work work. Glad to know it is having a positive impact on people and students 😀
