If Democrats can keep beating the drum on kitchen-table issues like affordable healthcare and lowering the cost of living, more victories could be on the horizon in 2026 and 2028.

No matter the platform you should have your default feed be reverse chron of who/what you follow and curate and diversify that feed.

You’ll be better informed and less prone to disinfo and group think.

This is a hill I will die on.
“As users ‘dislike’ posts, the system will learn what sort of content they want to see less of. This will help to inform more than just how content is ranked in feeds, but also reply rankings.”

In my life the most successful elections Democrats have ever run were 2006, 2008, and 2018. In all three the main issue was effectively the same: "The incumbent president and his party are an unholy nightmare in countless ways, throw the bums out."

2026 should be about Trump. Nothing else.

Trump calling on Senate Republicans is not a surprise; he called for getting rid of it before. It's also an admission that Republican attempts to blame the shutdown on Democrats when they control the government is failing.

I think at this point folks are prob sick of seeing my talking head talk about this stuff, but I'm reposting because I'm such a Jamie Raskin fanboy.

Historian here No Kings is the most American thing you could say and the people opposing it simply don’t believe in our republic or constitutional democracy.

The fact that top Republicans are already fearmongering about, lying about, the No Kings rallies this Saturday, across the US, tells you how worried they are about public pressure and protest against their reactionary, autocratic, anti-American agenda.

THIS.

It reeks of fear and desperation on their part.
When Republicans are pre-butting a pro-democracy rally like No Kings and making shit up left and right to scare people, you know they're losing and in panic mode.
