I think it’s moronic that they made the BlueSky butterfly white in the app’s icon. How fucking stupid can you get. Blue is in the title of your app but the icon is basically only white and black now. Fucking unreal.

The reason why the date of Geese's death in the Fatal Fury 1 ending is always in the early 1900s is not due to some typical localization screwup. It is based on the Neo Geo BIOS clock which wraps back to 1900 after the turn of the century. Neo Geo has the dreaded Y2K bug.

Ariana Grande’s “No Tears Left To Cry” was removed from DDR A3 in March 2024 but was announced as a *new song* in the following version, DDR World, roughly three months later. It was also removed from A20 PLUS even though that version is years old because it’s still online in the U.S. lmao

all equipment effects in nioh 2 are applied in a specific order and any non-additive modifier (like life drain on yokai ability hit) will be overwritten by later instances of the same modifier. this means that whether you assign an ability to X or Y will sometimes directly affect your stats

the ending monologue in fallout new vegas alongside any disembodied dialog is deliverd by an actual NPC hidden from the camera because the engine cannot play dialog without an NPC to speak it.

Final Fantasy's first superboss was a regular encounter you fought on the way to another boss. Final Fantasy 1's Warmech/Death Machine is in the encounter table for the bridge leading to Tiamat and, depending on the version, has a 1/100, 1/64, or 3/64 of appearing when you trigger a fight there.

Steam is like how California operates as a second regulatory structure for the US because it's too big to not obey
Steam being a pseudo monopoly is complicated. It's obviously got downsides, but the AI disclosure requirement makes it so realistically everything releasing on PC has to disclose or risk getting banned right off the PC platform forever and it's the only way we'd find out about some of this shit.
