This is the first Thanksgiving for Sophie & Colin Hortman without their parents, Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman who were assassinated along with the family dog in an act of political murder. National guards troops were not deployed to the state in response.

Fear is contagious, but so is courage. I remain steadfast in my oath to the Constitution and am grateful to those across the nation who stand with us. Don't give up the ship.

I can only conclude that the Trump administration wants to make Sen. Mark Kelly a national icon and the Democratic nominee for President.
Hegseth is now threatening to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to active duty in order to court martial him.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

I’m having that thing where you log on to social and everyone is reacting to the new thing but the reactions are vague, aghast, angry enough that you’re struggling to figure out exactly what the new thing is. German must have a word for this.

I'm not being sarcastic when I say maybe I'm wrong, maybe Trump really is cornered & soon we'll have at least a prog-dem gov't. That'd be good. & then we can get busy w/ the real threats: the rising tide, the heaving rains, the glowering heat, the suffocating flames, the wars they spark.

Such a characteristic dynamic, righties saying the protests were "funded by Soros" and lefties responding with fact checks & empirical observations. Ships passing in the night.

What the righties want to say is: the left is fundamentally illegitimate. That, to them, is the core truth.

Montana found a way around Citizens United. Instead of legislating what corporations can & can’t do, it seeks to redefine what a corporation is under STATE law, & STATE law is where the definition of a corporation matters.

The Corporate Power Reset That Makes Citizens United Irrelevant
By using their authority to define what corporations are—and what powers they hold—states can end the era of corporate and dark money in U.S. politics.
