if you tap into the quoted thread, there’s a call script that you can use to help andy kim do his job! it explains both the language of the budget bill that would strip healthcare from trans people & how to challenge it.

give him a call and let him know what’s up.

A Boston University professor of global health has done the math and created a website to visualize and track the effects of the Trump/DOGE dismantling of USAID.

"As of June 15, the death toll for adults and children from aid funding cuts topped 340,000 and came out to 103 deaths per hour."

1. Yesterday, ten Democrats capitulated on an Republican budget, empowering the worst of Musk and Trump, and gutting medicaid.

It is a foreshadowing of LGBTQ+ and trans fights to come.

I ask: Where is the line which Dems will NOT vote for one of these bills?

Yesterday, several Democrats excused a vote that will allow the Trump administration to gut Medicaid and empower Musk and Trump to consolidate power.

1. Finally some fight.

"Have you no decency!?" asked Rep. Keating after a Republican rep called Sarah McBride "Mr. McBride" repeatedly.

McBride shot back, calling the chairman "Madam Chairman."

Fireworks erupted, Dems protested, and the hearing was cancelled.

During a meeting of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, a Republican representative, Rep. Keith Self, called transgender congresswoman the "gentleman from Delaware." Dems pushed back.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too.

EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them.

Donald Trump has released a new EO to "eradicate anti-Christian bias."

What is one of the examples of "anti-Christian bias" cited in his order? The recognition by Biden of Transgender Day of Visibility, which fell on the same day as Easter Sunday last year.

1. Protests have erupted at multiple hospitals across the United States that have decided to comply with Trump's executive order banning trans care under 19.

Now, a lawsuit challenges that EO.

Demonstrators argue that hospitals should stand as a bulwark against Trump and should care for all of their patients, rather than comply without a fight.

Trans servicemembers who have served 19 years will lose their pensions and healthcare.

This is obscene. They served our country, and will be kicked to the side like trash.
