Will defer to lawyers, but deploying active duty Marines to suppress domestic dissent is almost certainly a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act and illegal. It's very possible this would represent an unlawful order that military leaders would not be bound to follow.

I'm having a hard time understanding how I'm just supposed to go about my daily life when people are disappearing off the street and my country has stepped off the cliff of fascism.

Basically: I don’t think people understand that 36 hours from now it’s possible that America will have a formalized system for abducting enemies of the regime and stashing them in foreign gulags, indefinitely.
