Hourly temperature data over a year in individual cities in donut form. Love it!
🍩 What if climate looked like a donut? 🌍
Here’s a bunch of cities turned into a sweet dataviz experiment.

🟡 → comfy zone
🔴 → hot
🔵 → cold

Why a donut? Let me explain 👇

The anthropogenic glacier collapse currently underway in the Alps has resulted in the disappearance of >1000 small glaciers! 😱🔥

Following the release of Swiss glacier loss numbers today, let me introduce you the now extinct Vadret da Triazza (Eastern Switzerland) ✝️

Over 2/3 of primary energy is wasted as heat.

The transition isn’t about matching that waste — it’s about outperforming it with efficient clean energy technology.

The @unep.org's Emissions Gap Report confirms that current national climate plans fail to live up to the promise of the Paris Agreement.

WWF urges the remaining parties to deliver 1.5°C-aligned national plans. Read #WWF's full response here: ow.ly/MsHb50Xmw09

Episodes of Atlantic Extreme Rapid Intensification - A 6X increase over the same since 1980 via @BhatiaKieran
Things are certainly changing as the waters warm. Greater ratio of strongest storms, that rapidly intensify, BUT importantly not necessarily a higher number of tropical systems overall.

#Plastic recyclers are under pressure

Europe produces far more plastic waste than our system can handle, and #recycling alone cannot fix it

Hazardous substances hinder recycling while harming people and planet

The way out of this is making less, safer and longer-lasting plastics

The extent of sea ice on our planet is still the 3rd lowest on record for this time of year. Unfortunately, as a result of the U.S. government shutdown, there is no data to assess last month's average global ice volume/thickness (provided by GIOMAS).
