American citizens pay more towards oil industry executives than they do towards SNAP recipients but for some reason people are more mad about the starving children and not the corporate fat cats giving themselves bonuses while the planet becomes unlivable

Not to mention, open enrollment has ALREADY STARTED. The subsidies expiring has ALREADY done damage to the marketplace that will be difficult to reverse. Even if they got a YES in December, the ACA would be screwed just from WAITING THAT LONG

Had a jar of roasted peanuts for my edamame salad next to a bottle of ibuprofen on the table. Almost sprinkled ibuprofen into my dinner 😂 I do have a migraine so I'll allow it

As much as it warms my heart to see people stepping up and donating to food pantries, giving away meal-in-a-bags, adopting a family to grocery shop for, sending kids home with food.

Donald Trump has intentionally instructed the federal government to withhold emergency funding for SNAP - that is already paid for and set aside for just this purpose - that would cover almost 3 full weeks for all of the 42 million Americans who rely on it. Media is barely covering that fact at all.

You know who the real freeloaders in this country are? Not people who rely on SNAP, but corporations whose business model depends on wages so low that taxpayers have to feed their workers.
