repeating myself a bit here but trump can issue an executive order but that doesn’t necessarily mean shit if it doesn’t have a firm statutory basis. if congress lays out in law what the duties of a particular official are, then no, the president can’t decide those duties are something else
Trump official announces that Trump has signed an executive order claiming that only the president can speak for “what the law is”

Now, under Trump 2.0, he’s a senior adviser to the General Services Administration, which manages the federal government’s property.

NEW: ProPublica has identified three lawyers with elite establishment credentials who’ve joined the DOGE effort. Two of their names haven’t been previously reported as working for the Elon Musk-led initiative.

Here’s what we know about them:

A very clear statement of what is happening to science right now.

And on the social science side: "This cuts across economics, psychology, sociology. In all these fields, there are whole chunks of the discipline that may just not be possible to carry on anymore."

3 cheers for burning white supremacy flags!
And, for punching Nazis, whether figuratively or literally.
This is even funnier when you know the history of Lincoln Heights — it was founded as a town for black people who worked in the area but couldn’t find housing in the neighboring white suburbs. Those suburbs, the state, and companies like GE Aviation fought their incorporation efforts for years
Neo-Nazis appeared in Lincoln Heights (metro Cincinnati) Ohio and got ran out of dodge… but not before locals stole and burned their swastika flag in the street.

Yes, everyone is correct. They're not advocating for a "strict meritocracy." Affirmative action is over. They're now suing over the very presence of Black people and Latinos in elite education and white collar careers.

They're advocating for resegregation. Call it out every time.

When you solve for the wrong problem, not only do you not get the solution, you can cause harm. The President wasted water that was being saved for farmers for a PR stunt.

This was harmful, ludicrous, and solved nothing.
