👖APPEAL FOR MEN’S CLOTHES👕

Someone I know in Bethnal Green is asking for men’s clothes for the psychiatric ward they work in Hackney. Too often people are in dire straits and don’t have families who can bring clothes.

If you’re local and can help out, please drop me a message.

I have a feeling that this won’t happen, but in a few years someone will make a documentary about Horton’s life and the magazines will trip over themselves playing catch up. An incredible talent who will be remembered either way.

I would love to read tributes to the late Kaleb Horton in Vanity Fair….so many comedians, musicians, and artists admired his work, and Graydon Carter knew he had a diamond on his hands.

They made my sister feel SO BAD first 2x, she has implants but ensured they were in front or behind some chest wall so she could breast feed, but she couldn’t and they made her feel SO shit, baby no3 she shut them DOWN in the first 10 seconds

A lot of headlines recently about “record levels” of breastfeeding in certain areas but this doesn’t tell us anything about how these families are doing when it comes to infant feeding. Are these babies gaining weight? Avoiding jaundice? Are the chest feeding parents getting sleep?

Whenever a certain TERF columnist pops up I recall hearing of a Christmas she spent with her daughters *begging* her to stop discussing trans people and speculating about a trans journalist’s medical history. A complete loser with no life!!!

So proud of my city. 👊❤️

(Albany Park is a diverse neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago.)

* Continuing to fight the "Chicago is a hellhole" narrative: I saw this because I biked a few miles to a lovely chocolate cafe on a gorgeous fall day where the leaves were starting to turn golden.

The parallels between what happened in Ballymurphy and in Derry are uncanny”

The genocide still happened, Palestine still isn't free, their homes, hospitals, schools and places of worship are still rubble and tens of thousands if not more are dead and Keir Starmer's Labour and the British media and establishment facilitate every bit of it.

The blood will never wash off.
Labour MPs reckon that if the ceasefire holds it will be harder for opponents to mobilize against them over the Israel-Palestine issue in the next election. There are concerns though about whether the fragile agreement will hold. More in London Playbook PM.

A true peace campaigner, Culver visited Brian Haw’s camp up to 3x a week with supplies (incl the T-shirts he designed)

Horton’s work was extremely popular here in the UK, not just in America. I hope an editor on this side of the pond takes note. bsky.app/profile/matt...
Some extra notes on the late Kaleb Horton, plus a dive into Ezra Klein and Ta-Nehisi Coates’ conflicting visions of who their journalism is for.

Any time anyone makes this point I think it is entirely valid to point out that the current Prime Minister of the UK appointed a man who maintained a friendship with a convicted child sex trafficker as US ambassador to the UK while ignoring and overruling warnings about doing so.
Unfortunately, when you look closely, he’s a total loon.

How can anyone expect evidence-based policy from someone who once claimed he could hypnotise women into having bigger breasts?

It’s apparently very rare for a politician to have both a heart and a brain…
