ELIZABETH WARREN: What Zohran is saying is 'I want people to be able to afford to live in NYC'

FABER: But raising taxes in order to do it?

WARREN: Oh my goodness! Oh dear! Are you worried that billionaires are going to go hungry?

Do you know how many people aren’t protesting today because you’ve disabled or killed them with covid? Real uncomfortable question, I know.

What would you do if you knew your personal number (of people you’ve disabled or worse)? Would it matter?

Absolutely wild how extremely far right rhetoric on Covid/disabled people, that liberals and leftists rightly attacked MAGA for in 2020, has now been mainstreamed to the point that leftists/liberals are further right on public health than most MAGA people were in 2020. Julia outlines it well here
Liberals joined conservatives to mainstream anti-vax beliefs about viruses and public health
Viruses are bad for kids' health. Public health is a collective effort. Liberals no longer believe either.

You do understand the government should be supplying public health info we shouldn't have to rely on trading tips on social media for safety, tracking the sewage independently, measuring how much cold medicine is on the shelf or reading scented candle reviews? Ok just so we know that.

I am exhausted by dissonance.

Love and miss me? Then wear an n95 in public, test, and disclose exposure info to allow me informed consent.

Onboard with disability justice? Ask your friends and friends why they aren’t. Make your presence contingent on mitigation like vulnerable people must do.

seeing “is it just me or is everyone sick right now” for the eleventy billionth time while you get called “crazy” for continuously advocating for robust public health measures against a highly transmissible, deadly, and disabling virus that never went away

Disabled people exist in a rigged, ableist system where we have to “ask” nondisabled people for access, accommodation, rights and equity.

The whole “women are saving the economy” thing (e.g. Taylor Swift tour, Barbie movie) doesn’t quite hit for me when women are the ones becoming disproportionately sicker as a result of mass infection/mass disablement policies in service of capitalism.

it’s really trippy being a 35-year old woman cuz on the one hand, society is like “you’re a washed up witch haunting the town square” and on the other hand, you go to the doctor and you’re told “oh sweet summer child, you’re WAY too young for that.”

The “keep infecting the population with a devastating virus in the name of capitalism” propaganda has become so blatantly obvious that it’s reached new levels of absurdity.

As many have pointed out, *COVID* can —> clots, cardiovascular disease, diabetes (& more health issues).
