I appreciate the symbolic YES votes. However, there a myriad opportunities for releasing the files to be stopped. From national security to DOJ investigations and the executive’s refusal to sign the legislation they will use every trick to not release the unredacted files. And that is criminal. IMO.
BREAKING: Releasing the Epstein files without redactions could pose a national security risk, according to House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Does the cream in my coffee count as a meal? Because today the cream in my coffee has to count as a meal. I’d trade my left arm for a sandwich right now.

The more I find out about the companies who donated to this administration to support the rampant lawlessness and corruption, the angrier I get that our options as conscientious consumers are diminished.

Yep. Saw that coming last week. It’ll happen. We will never see the files.
Coons on Epstein files: "My hunch is that AG Bondi, having just been ordered on social media by the president to open an investigation into a series of high-profile Dems, will promptly say, 'No, there's an ongoing investigation, we can't disclose any of this,' and the president will back that up."

#Veterans (and their support system) who use the VA: PAY ATTENTION to this.
I don’t use the VA’s online services anymore but, if you are a #veteran or are a caregiver who does. You need to know this. Not asking anyone to share this post. It’s just a FYI.

File under “things I enjoy that most academics don’t” - reviewing journal articles. It’s unpaid labor with little recognition, but it’s a way to support the evolution of my field and growth of scholarship ability. I especially enjoy doing a second review of an article I recommended for revision.

"In Afghanistan, we used to regularly carry out what are called presence patrols, where there was no purpose or mission other than to be present in the space and normalizing that we were there," she said. "Letting people know, oh, if you act up, we are here, and we're watching."

Sounds familiar.

So apparently RFK, Jr. was in AVL last night for the Dwight Yoakam show. Word on the street is he and Dwight spent the day hanging out and spent the hours before the concert getting high. Yoakam was over an hour late starting. What a disappointment and icky dude.

Please keep Charlotte in your prayers. The Queen City is vibrant and full of people who built it and contribute to its success. Charlotte is not full of violence. Neighbors are helping each other stay safe. Many around the state are raising support for them. North Carolinians will not be defeated!
We wrote this to help you imagine how quickly a city can change under Trump…

Charlotte was once a place of slow, easy mornings, coffee cups clinking in cozy cafés, jazz drifting through open doors on Tryon Street, families stepping onto the light rail with strollers and soccer bags.

I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?
