I don't fully (or even partially) understand this, but if you have Verizon, there's a spam blocking feature that silences automated calls. If, like me, you sometimes get automated calls that are important, check your settings.

In 1975, Ann Arbor was the 1st city in the US to use Ranked Choice Voting to elect a mayor. Dr. Wheeler was the 1st Black tenured professor at the University of Michigan and only Black #A2Council mayor to date. But just months later, opponents moved to repeal RCV and silence the will of the voters:

Also — anxiety can make normal sensations feel alarming. When you’re already tense or self-monitoring your eating closely, a weird taste can trigger fear. To settle your system: Drink some water. Sit still and breathe slowly for one minute. Notice your body. Nothing is happening — your body knows what to do. Apples don’t grow dangerous toxins from bruising alone. You’re safe.
