For those who might not know this: you can see at least 6 Caravaggio's masterpieces *for free* in a square mile in Rome city centre!
Seeing one of the world’s greatest pieces of art, amazing, seeing it with Lynne and my long timeTwitter friend in person (for the first time), @paolosandro.bsky.social simply priceless.

Elon Musk consorts with our enemies, just bought our democracy, and is about to be the most powerful man on Earth.

This is not funny anymore. This is not a cute little MAGA gaslighting exercise. The FBI should be able to say to America, "We met and spoke with Adrian Dittman and he's not Elon Musk."

As we approach the return of Donald Trump as POTUS, I strongly encourage anyone who is a LPR (green card holder) to take all steps to become a US citizen as soon as possible. The draconian immigration actions that Trump is threatening under the Alien & Sedition Acts sweep in LPRs, but not citizens.

This is a national security issue. It's not that the two men sound exactly alike and have the same opinions and mannerisms—or even that the fake identity often slips and admits to being Elon—it's that Elon's a DoD contractor who abuses drugs, has a fake identity and secretly communicates with Putin.
Who is Adrian Dittmann? Why some X users are convinced it's Elon Musk
The long-simmering mystery of Adrian Dittmann's identity has come to a boil during the H-1B visa debate.

WOW. Third Circuit nominee Adeel Mangi's letter to Biden (but, really, to all) is today's required reading: "I have battled for justice, even if it meant there would be none for me."

And, though unnamed, Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto, Jacky Rosen, and Joe Manchin get their earned response.

For a client I recently reviewed a redlined contract where the counterparty used an "AI-powered contract platform." It had inserted into the contract a provision entirely contrary to their own interests.

So I left it in there.

Please, go ahead, use AI lawyers. It's better for my clients.

This is great!

The Supreme Court is implementing a pilot program for the public to apply for Courtroom seating through an online lottery. Lottery winners get reserved seating for a particular argument.

One of the most important overlooked factors in how health insurers get away w/ denying care is by contractually defining medical necessity by reference to their detailed utilization criteria. Amy Monahan & I describe this shift in Rules of Medical Necessity, here: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....
Rules of Medical Necessity
Health insurance contracts have long excluded coverage for care that is “experimental” or not “medically necessary.” Historically, insurance policies defined th

Akhil Amar, Tom Schmidt, and I have a piece in the Atlantic on why Trump + the GOP House cannot adjourn the Senate against its will in order to give Trump recess appointments. (Gift link) www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
No, Trump Can’t Just ‘Dismiss’ the Senate
The threat from House Republicans should be seen and called out for what it is: an autocratic move that is not just unlawful but contemptuous of constitutionalism.
