We currently sit lower in the Expected Points table than we finished last season.

I just saw the Frank post game quote where he says that the club were 17th last season as an excuse and honestly now I think fuck that guy and sack his ass tomorrow

This is it. Death by a thousand cuts and we all know where it ends up. May as well die on your feet, lads. At least Ange understood that.
Woeful from Spurs. Like the Chelsea game all over again — there is no pragmatism in anti-football if you’re still conceding goals

I miss Ange. Only game I’ve ever cheered and been proud of the team after a loss was that game against Chelsea. Didn’t give up values for “flexibility”

The patience that they are about to give Frank should have been what was given to ange. Ange showed the ability to win.

Deflection or not that was coming. Just turgid and pointless football under Frank thus far.

God bless y’all who have faith in the process, may we get to the promised land. But this shit sucks harder than anything we’ve seen since Nuno.

At least it was worth completely surrendering any sort of ambition.

Basically for me it's existential. Are we Spurs, or are we just another club and identity means nothing? People are telling me that long throws are necessary because everyone else is doing them, when all it says to me us that coaches are either unimaginative or lazy.

how’s he done well?

he was rescued by the skill players he chose not to start because we wants long balls and set pieces.

we score in spite of him.

If you concede more of them you're not better off.

VdV is average at box defending. Romero is good, but maybe not quite elite at it. Porro probably average.

On the ball these are all elite. We're minimising their strengths and maximising their weaknesses.

Agree with Milo's quote:
"I'd rather lose having a go than win being meek".
If Spurs play with some bravery and genuine attacking intent, they will generally win more than lose anyway.

The players believed to the point that they went into Bilbao with half a team out and still 'knew' they were going to win. That sort of faith in a manager is invaluable and very special. But hey, 17th.

Dangerously close to Conte levels of not caring about when we play.

It’s shit and no one looks bothered.

If they’re not invested why should I be?

You want to watch a Pullis or big Sam team? Fine. I want to watch Spurs, not the opposite of glorious football.

Ange also followed some pretty awful years where I for one struggled to give a shit. Ange got me caring again. I also really appreciated him standing up for the club and hit back on lazy mockery. The contrast to his predecessors probably increased patience.

While there’s no point crying over the AP departure now, I think it is fair to question our commitment to a football identity. Does identity matter? Does the daring and doing stuff mean anything, or is it just marketing? Does Frankball resonate with fans sufficiently for us to buy in and be patient?

My worry is it won't be implemented for long. Remember the 8 seconds for a keeper to handle the ball and get rid of it? That was a nice 3 weeks.

To varying degrees I like pretty much all of our squad. Yo varying degrees I think we have mainly good or potentially good players. It's quite an achievement by Frank to turn us into such a poor and unlikable team.
