this dumb shit is what i mean when i say this is a purely aesthetic “politics.” yeah man, why can’t we have a fusion of cosmopolitan social democracy and revanchist hierarchies of wealth and privilege? tough question.
Matt Stoller: “..Trump & Mamdani defeated establishment in their own way, representing hunger of voters on the right & left who want something different. If those sides cd come together.. that would be a sea change in how we organize our political economy”.

language like this is so insulting, imo. is it a compulsory thing for CEOs to need to brag while laying people off?

Feels like ranked choice was absolutely decisive in this race—not because of the vote count, but because of how it changed the incentives from zero-sum to cooperapetitive. It allowed a fractured left field to align organically through co-endorsements instead of falling into a circular firing squad.

The NYT decided to kick trans people in the teeth the day after Skrmetti. They wrote a hit piece blaming trans people for their own oppression and attacked the people who have fought hardest to stop this effort to eradicate us.

They turned to Brianna Wu to further their narrative.

Big fan. But, I don't think this is on me. Or us. In fact, a lot of us said this was coming and we were told to relax & the institutions would save us but a guy who wasn't legally allowed to run is the President and I don't think that has to do with us. Don't blame your constituents.
I’m praying for Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband’s family, and for Sen. John Hoffman and his wife’s recovery this morning.

I’m praying for everyone in Minnesota. Praying for our country. This is on all of us.
