I'm like a golden retriever in that I'm treat motivated, happy to see you, and likely to knock things off the table when excited.
Christmas Eve - I would give nearly anything for one more hug from my mom, and just as much for one chance to confront her about what she did, and what she allowed others to do to me.

I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

Not much to say about Trans Day of Remembrance anymore besides “try loving and celebrating us while we are alive”

I don't think you've experienced true joy if you haven't joined a gaggle of lesbians crashing the dance floor to ABBA's Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)

Holding 7-year-old me in my heart today, as I reminisce about how I started a petition to change the name of my childhood street to "Britney Spears Crescent" and got 6 signatures - my family and my best friend.

People don't take the responsibility of driving seriously enough. The complete and total disregard for human life and the destruction that driving a vehicle while distracted can cause is astounding to me.

Where on earth do people have to go so urgently? What text is so important that it can't wait?

Hayley Williams' solo album continues to grow on me, but I still can’t seem to get into anything from Florence + The Machine’s latest release.

Happiness is being in your 30s, riding shotgun with your best girlfriends, and scream-singing Sarah Harmer’s "Basement Apt." like you mean it, because you all lived it.

This happens to so many women. It's the internalization of being "too much," and it happens to so many women who don't abide by the patriarchal view that women should be quiet. I personally found her charming and endearing during that time - it makes me sad that this is the outcome.
This isn’t a dig at Jennifer Lawrence, but the way she’s been talking about herself on her current press tour makes me sad. She basically expresses that having a personality as a young woman in the public eye made her too much, and she doesn’t want to repeat those same mistakes. It’s a little eerie.

why does no one think it's as funny as I do that Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are dating?

It’s ironic that the path to healing runs through self-compassion, because I seem to reserve all my kindness for everyone but me.

Really struggling with the idea of whether people actually “need” distractions right now.

Maybe the issue is that we’re too distracted.

SO many parents have an SUV when what they really need is a minivan. Why are you cramming three car seats/booster seats into one row? Are people expecting their kids to have no friends?

My wife and I (2 people) inherited a minivan years ago, and we STILL miss it since "upgrading"

Perk of living at the very start (or end) of the GoTrain line: guaranteed seat. Downside: by the time I get where I’m going, it's been a decade. At least I’m seated, though.

Nothing beats the red carpet ice rink scene on Parks and Rec. I hear "Get on your feet!" and I’m cracking up just imagining it. The repeating of the song, the three legged dog, the fact that everyone in the scene is absolutely losing it... it's too good!
