I feel like people on Bluesky who have convinced themselves that the institutional Left in the United States is pro Trump and falling over backwards to credit Trump should have to reckon with the fact that the only Palestinian in Congress, and a DSA member, says (rightly) that the ceasefire is fake.

Abigail Tucker’s influence on the Douthat project remains very underappreciated
THIS IS WHY WE ALL HATE EVOPSYCH. Can we please fucking discredit this pseudo-naturalist bullshit at last?

Wonderful essay
I wrote about the irony of the AI bubble, a phenomenon driven by storytelling and imagination in an industry that has contempt for both
The AI Bubble Is Not a Question. What Happens If It Bursts Is.
The AI industry's most important product is not a chatbot or a video generator; it's the story the AI industry is telling about itself

Defense says that the officer's testimony was "very questionable" because he said the sandwich both exploded in spray of mustard and onions and also landed in its wrapper on the ground.

When I was a sophomore sitting in Mahmood Mamdani's class, Zohran was applying to college (something everyone was *super normal* about during this campaign) and practicing his flow. Now he's mayor of NY and I'm just some guy. Humbling really

It’s important not to generalize from a single election.
For example, just because Mamdani won doesn’t mean every man can pull off wearing multiple rings.

Wow it turns out the entire country is not permanently reactionary because Trump won an election by 1.5%

My actually unpopular opinion is that the current system of daylight savings works fine, and it would be far worse to have it be pitch black at 7:30-8am for many months.
The real solution is to put New England north of Connecticut (otherwise known as New England) in the Atlantic Time Zone.

Absolutely amazing that the first big initiative being justified by the "abundance agenda" is Trump's vanity ballroom. That's some eighteenth brumaire shit right there
