1. The Supreme Court has allowed a military ban that calls transgender people inherently "dishonorable" to go into effect.

This is a devastating ruling that opens the door for much worse.

I detail what this means for trans servicemembers in my latest.

For a weird reason, the tech press is putting together some of the best reporting on what is changing in the US. This by @theverge.com I found particularly good on how Trump and Musk are building their own reality (and falling for it themselves). The question is, if and when reality will retaliate?

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who says we shouldn't open new public restrooms in Seattle has voided (pun intended) their right to complain about people relieving themselves in public ever again. Don't like shit on the sidewalks? Open more restrooms!

1. Today, the New York Times Editorial Board published a piece titled "Trump's Shameful Campaign Against Transgender Americans."

I criticize the paper's attempt to wash away the paper's own culpability in ushering in an era of eradication-based policies.

The New York Times Editorial Board today released an opinion piece calling Trump's attacks on transgender Americans "shameful." The paper has been influential in fueling those attacks.

Vance is openly calling for the end of the constitutional order here, which is a betrayal of his oath of office. It is as plain as day now, Loper Bright ain’t gonna save you
Interestingly, in Loper Bright vs Raimondo, the conservative majority on SCOTUS ruled just last year that the judiciary can in fact overrule regulatory decisions made by the executive branch especially when those decisions are not specified by Congress.

It will go into effect on the 31st.

It also has a slew of effects and puts into place the 1st anti-trans EO policies for every agency.

This will have a ton of impacts very quickly.
