✨Ever wondered how C4 plants 🌱 manage to shuttle metabolites back and forth between mesophyll and bundle sheath cells so efficiently? ✨ They have increased cell-to-cell connectivity between these cells through A LOT of plasmodesmata. @plantsci

That’s exactly it. This place is rapidly becoming better at providing the kind of interesting, challenging input on which any serious attempt at making sense of the world needs to rely.

🔔New paper🧪 Treelines in the U.S. Northeast shifted upslope by 3 m/decade on average w/climate warming. Treeline form, topography, & mesoclimate affected the magnitude of the shift! Kudos to Jordon Tourville for this PhD work at SUNY ESF w/Appalach. Mtn. Club!
