look, I'm no fan of the Bourbons, or of monarchy in general for that matter -- but to invoke them to characterize Trump is I think deeply unfair to Versailles and the French absolutist monarchy

Hero’s of the day - In a small town of Beckley, WV, Kendra Sullivan staged a one-woman No Kings protest. She was confronted, had the police called on her, but stood her ground. She was physically threatened. Police came more than once and protected her right to protest. This is how we do it.

We’re up to at least 97 cases in which district courts have blocked Trump policies—from 73 different judges (appointed by seven different presidents) in 25 different district courts across 10 circuits.

Today’s “One First” looks at what critics of these rulings are leaving out of their narratives:
155. What District Court Critics Aren't Telling You
The increasingly loud claim that district courts are abusing their powers by blocking Trump administration policies depends upon a series of indefensibly selective (and easily rebutted) arguments.

It did not take long.

Privitizing, aka selling off irreplaceable national assets, has always been the plan.
The plan is to break the parks, claim they must be privatized, take them from the American people and give them to their friends.
Update: the Trump administration has proposed cutting the National Park System by $900 million, about one third of its budget.

In the wake of what Judge Dugan did (100% legal), now is a good time for everyone to know what she knows:

An immigration or administrative warrant is *not* a judicial warrant. You are not obliged to obey it. Indeed, you can let the person out the back door. docs.google.com/presentation...
