If ever there has been a time in your life to withdraw consent from extraction and invest in mutuality, now is that time.

I’ve bought three packs of Sarah’s notebooks so far, as presents and then for myself as they’re so lovely 🥰
My Swift notebooks come in 3 colours and are available individually or in a pack of 3, tied with jute twine. They make great gifts - who doesn't love a notebook!

Always a pleasure to come across a Golden-fringed Mason Bee (Osmia aurulenta) nest! This is one of 3 UK bee species to nest in empty snail shells. A female had just finished pasting leaf mastic over the entrance to the shell when I came across her yesterday at Porth Neigwl.

I LOVE my daughter's new 'Garden Gang' collection. Bright, colourful, and uplifting... just like the birds themselves.

These paintings, and others, are available from Charlotte's @cstrawbridgeart.bsky.social website, here:

Doe could be found deep in the woodland, far away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by quiet and magical moments.
This was her sanctuary, a place she could retreat to whenever needed.
She’d spend her days deep in thought, away from it all, filled with peace and enchantment.

It’s official, 2024 was the worst year for bumblebees since records began🚨

The latest findings from #BeeWalk, our national bumblebee monitoring scheme, have revealed bumblebee numbers declined by almost a quarter (22.5%) across Great Britain💔

One year my daughter said ‘Mum we haven’t got any of your felt mushrooms!’ So since then I’ve been trying to keep one or two for our Christmas tree, not quite a full felt fungi tree yet but we’re getting there!! Other forest themed decorations will be going on too! 🍄🎄

Did u know? We shouldn't be scared of the colour brown in our outside spaces in winter. Seed heads, spent flowers & dry twigs are warm, dry areas where small souls can overwinter in safety, so leave it in situ until you see the first insects on the wing next season. Be more 🤎🌿🌱🪲🦔🐦‍⬛🐌🐙🌍

I say that not to minimize the suffering and loss and harm that is happening, but just to say that it helps me to realize that this aberration of a society run by domination and separation will ultimately be self-limiting, because it defies the operating conditions of the Earth herself.

1. In disentangling wild webs, etymology is often the start point of my research; so many sp. names refer to their associate host. It’s a reminder that these associations have been known for hundreds of years.

The dog rose hips in our hedge are looking lovely. I’d love to make Rosehip syrup but will wait til there’s enough so I can share equally with the wildlife 💚

If you want to make a REALLY big difference to #butterflies & #moths, just fill your garden loads of native plants for the adults to lay on, and caterpillars to feed on.

Excellent advice on what to plant (and for who) from Butterfly Conservation, here..
