BREAKING: The Supreme Court ruled victims of a mistaken police raid can continue their quest for accountability in the courts.

While this is progress for the Martin family, the case now goes to the lower court, where the fight continues to stop the FBI from evading responsibility for its actions.

NIH Staff Have Broken Their Silence
Civil servants usually keep a low profile. These NIH employees are putting themselves at risk by calling out the Trump administration.

Honored to be included in this @teenvogue.com piece that includes insights from @olufemiotaiwo.bsky.social, adrienne maree brown, @deanspade.bsky.social, and Vicky Osterweil about how to keep going under the strain of a second Trump administration.
@mskellymhayes.bsky.social: "There was a time in 2020 when people were deeply invested in one another’s well-being... The same impulses that led to an explosion of mutual aid propelled people into the streets. We’ve drifted from that level of connection. But we’ll need to find our way back to it."

‼️UPDATE: The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that students who bring disability claims against their schools *do not* have to meet a higher bar for proving discrimination. While the Trump admin has decimated the DoE, this ruling preserves important rights & protections for the disability community.
SCOTUS is deciding whether to make it harder for all disabled people to sue for discrimination, @reinasultan.bsky.social reports. The ruling in A.J.T. v. Osseo Area Schools could make it harder for victims of disability discrimination to sue, despite protections under the ADA & Section 504.

The Moderate Case Against Trans Youth Healthcare Bans
The disinformation on transgender youth healthcare is extreme, and many people hold weakly held opinions on that care. I talk about how to move the needle with those who are uncertain.
