Due to an oversight in the code of Super Mario Advance, it is possible for the slot machine at the end of a level to award the player humorous amounts of lives, like "B0UP", "D0UP", "G0UP" or even "P0UP". Please note that "S0UP" is unfortunately impossible.
In Super Mario Bros. 2, it is possible to collect arbitrary amounts of coins by repeatedly dying in Subspace, which makes the coins respawn on the next visit instead of making them stop spawning after two visits. In Super Mario Advance, the player is able to bet any number of coins on the slot machine, which will multiply the bet by 5 if the player gets all 7s on the machine. The game did not expect the player to either have or win over 100 coins, so that the number is displayed in a glitched manner after 99 coins. There in no hundredths digit and the tens digit is replaced by a letter: 100=A0, 110=B0, 120=C0, etc. until 250 = P0. The largest number that can be bet or won is 255, or P5.
