This is an excellent thread.
i fully agree with this theory and in my actual field, british architectural history, The Problem is that Salisbury Cathedral is built on top of a lake and no i am not exaggerating
between this and the FSO Safer (another ship at serious risk of exploding) I’m convinced every field has its “yeah, this is the problem that keeps me up at night” and I’m on a quest to learn about all of them

Can you tell I’m bored on a train? What’s your fave Pitbull song? Me and my sister regularly talk about how loads of songs in the early 2010s were all about not being able to pay your rent but still going out to party anyway. I WORK MY ASS OFF, I STILL CAN’T PAY IT THO. youtu.be/bTXJQ5ql5Fw

Sometimes I sit on here trying to think of something profound or witty to say and it’s just like all craic and drive has left my body because of the *state of the world* and all that. So…what has everyone had for their tea? I had a toastie from Greggs before I go on a train. Classy

Sick to death of those SAP AI ads on LinkedIn showing office staff rolling down a hill or swimming underwater. So weird and annoying.

Dolly Parton has sent my daughter a new book every month for years as she does for thousands of children. She help fund the development of the Covid vaccine. She’s not a billionaire. I think as non wealthy people it’s hard to even imagine how much billionaires *could* be doing with their money.

I opened X and there was a negative post about Blake Lively’s sexual harassment case at the top of my suggested posts feed. I clicked on the account and it has no profile image, 8 followers, and 24 posts since 2020–including 6 Ray-Ban scam ads. These disinfo campaigns are so blatant, yet they work.
