At one point in my life I'd have agreed with this (and the post he's quoting) but I don't anymore.
1) games offer lots of choices that have no mechanical or narrative effect, for the purposes of player expression. Do they all need consequences? Nah

As an extension of this, if your game offers any choice at all that is completely inconsequential or immediately overwritten by what the game expects or demands, scrap that choice.
Please…. I’m begging you… if your game has a dialogue choice… and all the answers say the same thing in a different way…. You can just remove the dialogue choice……

Devastated. Outside of consistently hearing him be very pro-player and anti-shitty corporate practices I can’t speak to Vince professionally, but personally he was such a down to earth, funny, warm person. The industry already feels far less bright without him.
