A Trump-appointed judge just struck down a Biden rule expanding overtime pay to 4 million working people.

It's really surprising how little media coverage this has received. Trump faced no real questions about this issue during the campaign. 1/

Without BASIC, you don't have thousands of invested hobbyists in the 70s, who go on to teach millions of young programmers in the 80s.

Without DTSS's ability to manage hundreds of simultaneous users, you don't have UNIX.

And without Thomas Kurtz, we wouldn't have either.

RIP, Professor Kurtz.

What Letting Trump Use Recess Appointments Could Mean
Donald Trump’s stated desire to use recess appointments is about more than putting his cabinet secretaries and other appointees in place without a fight.

It's always nice when one can leave a tab open for days and it doesn't crash the tab, browser or bring your system to a screeching halt.

Having used #VMware #Fusion for many years, this is welcomed news.

As the @theregister.com mentions, it's not #OpenSource and my stance on #VMware for the past 10 years is #ESXi should be #OpenSource.

If folks are already using #VirtualBox (which is fantastic), doubt they will care about this.

I’ll join @AnaCabrera at 10 am ET on @MSNBC to discuss Trump’s nomination of Matt Gaetz for Attorney General of the United States. This is an immensely important job that requires a person of integrity, not an attack dog.
Analysis | Why Matt Gaetz is such a controversial pick for attorney general
Trump has been nominating loyalists to serve in his Cabinet, and nowhere is that more obvious than in his pick for attorney general: Rep. Matt Gaetz.

There's a plan.

Trump announces Gaetz as AG.
Gaetz resigns from the House.
Gaetz hopes this prevents the release of a "highly damaging" ethics report.

But...if the report doesn't come out, senators should request it for his confirmation hearing.
Now it’s all starting to make sense
November 14, 2024 at 12:55 AM
Did you hear the one about the congressman from Florida who resigned immediately before an investigation completes around #ethics in the same day he was nominated to be the highest prosecutor in the land?

Yeah, just another day in this bizarro world, post #Election2024
