With December crime stats for London (Metropolitan Police) published today, I've had a quick look at homicide trends since 2003. Provisionally, the 105 homicides in 2024 was the lowest annual total since 2014 and second lowest in the last 22 years. #crimestats

There's a growing sense of pathos around Kemi Badenoch. She's clearly constructed a self-image of toughness & ruthlessness - you can imagine her shouting at her own reflection about how hard she is - to protect herself from perfectly normal feelings of vulnerability & fear. It's unlikely to end well
