Not good news
There is growing evidence that we are experiencing an acceleration in the rate of climate warming. I posted earlier that the rate of CO2 increase observed in the Keeling Curve had shifted from 9 yr for a local min CO2 to become a local max near the 1960’s to just 3 yrs near present. 🧪
Has global warming accelerated in recent decades? If we look at the rate of warming between 1970 and 2008 and extend it through present, we see that almost all years since 2015 are above the previous trend.

Not good news
Having experienced a traditional hammam in Marrakech, I can confirm that being beaten up and water boarded by a man wearing boxers is strangely envigotating!

A few years ago I was engaged to scope out and project manage a cross Norfolk system to ensure all palliative patients would be treated appropriate to their situation wherever they turned up in the local NHS. It was vetoed by local GPs who didn't want to invest their time or give systems access.
Leadbeater is now describing what happens under the status quo, particularly how palliative care cannot always prevent suffering.One man whose wife asked him to kill her, but he could not do it. Another who tried to commit suicide. Another who could not accompany his mother to Switzerland.

She used to be my MP, and once when waiting to consult her, heard her dressing down a very well informed environmental activist and constituent ending with "I will not agree with you, goodbye". Unpleasant and not anchored in reality.
This is incredible. Asked about the fact that private school kids get extra exam time at a rate 16% higher than state schools, Therese Coffey's response is:

Following this logic there would have been an awful lot of extra general elections triggered by previous Tory [and Labour] governments.

It never ceases to surprise me that farmers, who (mostly correctly) claim they are the custodians of the countryside, get more exercised about their own money than they do the impacts of climate change on their livelihoods.

Absolutely correct - being free to say what you want is always balanced against other people being free to say what they want in reply. No individual has a natural right to dictatorial absolutism.
Free speech is not freedom from consequences. It is not freedom to force others to listen to you. Free speech includes the rights of everyone to disagree with you, ignore you, block you etc. It is not a get out of jail free card to hurl abuse, demand things of others, or spread hate. 11/
