It was the case during your humble corespondent’s time doing Junior Cert Business Studies (god be with the Consumer Information Act 1978) but the law was overhauled in 2007 and that specific protection no longer exists

This year we have two charities we have supported before:
The NSPCA (the new name for the combined DSPCA and ISPCA), and My Lovely Horse Rescue.
Our new charity this year is the wonderful @childrensbooksireland.ie - among so much other work, they gift thousands of new books to children in need...

We had an opertunity to place a Berlin style license agreement on short term lets, you can’t put a property on the site or similar, without the number being approved by local council. Placing the onus on the landlord and Airbnb to self police. Under intense lobbying from Airbnb this idea was dropped
