In a weird way, it’s easier to process ruining lives through rabid ideological zealotry than just doing it out of lazy, incurious transactionalism. I don’t know how to handle that level of profound evil.

One of the most enraging things about the shit the Trump Admin is doing to destroy a century of medical progress and bring about a new wave of disease focused on kids is that Trump doesn’t care!! He literally doesn’t care at all! He’s happy to just nod it through because some guy did him a favour

This does feel like a major crossing of the Rubicon – the world's best-funded and in many ways most powerful public health agency is now actively pushing disinformation.

I know there's a *lot* going on to care about at the moment, but this one really is significant, and matters well beyond the US.
The CDC website now disseminates disinformation about vaccines, claiming erroneously that infant vaccines might cause autism, when we know conclusively that they do not. It is difficult to overstate just how dangerous this is. www.cdc.gov/vaccine-safe...

0.22% of the budget, but 95% of the news ⚖️
“How many refugees have been granted asylum in the UK?”

Most people overestimate the number - by a lot. With far-right figures spreading misinformation, it’s hard for the public to know the truth.

Watch the video to see just how wide the gap is between perception and reality.

The Irony of Hitler’s Junk
A slightly different take on the news that Hitler’s DNA reveals some genetic anomalies. The most interesting thing to me is that history has a profound capability for irony.
