I'd go even more specific here and say that in selling people on Christ that means much more than just "he was a swell guy with great ideas." Jesus's teaching doesn't really make much sense in toto except against the eschatological horizon, and that doesn't make much sense sans resurrection.
hot take: religiosity is declining and all these mainline denominations keep trying to pass themselves off as social clubs but you can't sell people on christianity if you can't sell them on christ

Honestly, the reconciliation bill being called the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” disproportionately bothers me relative to the actual bad things in it. It’s pure slavishness to Trump’s desires and doesn’t even make sense as the name of a law.

No one should be bound but not protected, and no one should be protected but not bound.
We should all be extremely critical of any concept that women must carry the burden of society while men control it. An effort to reverse this paradigm is, I believe, a necessary condition for the liberation of all people.
When the topic is women the conflict is that women are failing society. When the topic is men it's that society is failing them.

HCD in its housing element review sheet often would allow locals to site “land values” as a development constraint.

This is also why Strong Town zoning incrementalism doesn't make much sense. We should be thinking about ensuring land values and zoning match. If you "overzone" it doesn't even matter, land values will dictate what is built then.
