Banks make $26bn in a decade of financing deforesting companies.

Destruction of the world’s forests reached the highest level - agricultural expansion, mining, infrastructure, logging.

Profits before climate change, human lives and the planet.

The cult of deregulation will make matters worse.

The UK govt is STILL “friends” of the genocidal racist nation of Israel.

They are complicit in this. They should never get a moment’s rest.

And neither should our rancid media.

It shames all of us.
This is amongst the most impactful two minutes of broadcasting I’ve ever seen.

Ofwat/Govt promised this to England's water company investors.

“right to collect” revenues from customers, “opportunities for upside”, “capped liabilities” and “investment positive” ... “no exposure to competitive or market stranding risks”

The death toll of Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza is now estimated at 100,000

The list is 1,227 pages long.

The first 11 pages are names of babies dead before the age of 6 months.

The first 381 pages are all children.

Anyone else seeing the link between cutting the internet in Gaza…

…and starting a war with Iran?

The Netanyahu government is sick & criminal.

Everyone should write to their MP saying:

Israel’s attack on Iran is insane. It is also being used to distract from Gaza, where internet has been cut, and the West Bank, where settlements are aggressively expanding.

The UK government MUST recognise the State of Palestine now.

Does your MP agree?

How is this not a war crime? How this not a green light for Iran to target Israeli or U.S. civilian scientists in return?

Wondering why, after many weeks of drought, Ireland is suddenly getting dumped with non-stop rain? There's an anomalous patch of super heated sea right off our coast.

It's a new world of extreme swings. And unless we act, RIGHT NOW, this is only a taste of what's coming.

By betraying his voters so comprehensively and so soon, Keir Starmer has done us a favour. He has given us 4 years to design the government we want.
In this week's column I explain how it can be done. There's massive
potential, but we need to start now. 🧵

England has the only privatised Water in Europe, the most water pollution, and the most expensive water.

The UK has the only fully privatised energy, and the most expensive.

England has privatised rail, the slowest, least reliable and of course the most expensive in Europe.

The problems in our society are not caused by migrants or refugees.

They are caused by an economic system rigged in favour of corporations and billionaires.

If the government wanted to improve people’s lives, it would tax the rich and build an economy that works for us all.
