Please, PLEASE, I am begging you as both a parent and someone who is sick of all this THIS, go vote for your school boards. Even if you don't have kids, that's how these reactionary dipshits got their feet in, that's where the book bans and library cuts start.

Years ago, before my book published, I was invited to the Sante Fe Literary Festival as a guest. It was a really busy time, so I had no idea which other authors would be in attendance. My husband and I walked into the green room, and seated in front of me were Margaret Atwood and George R.R. Martin.

I work in social services & mental health. The threat of losing SNAP benefits and healthcare is causing unnecessary stress on an already stressed and vulnerable population. The cruelty being inflicted by this administration is evil. The depravity of their souls, feeling nothing but emptiness 1/
It's becoming chillingly clear: an administration that gleefully dismantled USAID and consigned countless people to slow death by starvation and preventable disease will not hesitate to inflict hunger on tens of millions of Americans by cutting off SNAP funds.

I am still dumbfounded that everybody supporting and enabling this administration are choosing to harm people close to them as well. No one will go unscathed and that’s what I just can’t wrap my mind around.
