Why can't I find a digital clock that will actually keep time reliably? I feel like clocks used to stay accurate once the time had been set, but now they seem to start losing minutes after a few days. I'm unable to find a clock that actually does the only job a clock has.

i think if you ride public transit enough you learn that most weird behavior is not dangerous, and conversely i think driving a car teaches you that everyone is trying to kill you at all times

"The cost of renaming the DOD will run into tens of millions of dollars, maybe much more. Isn’t this an administration that only months ago unleashed an ignorant bazillionaire on the federal workforce in the name of efficiency and cost reductions?"
It is impossible to overstate the inanity of the vapid and stupid stunt of renaming the Defense Department, and Congress should step in and put a stop to it immediately.

Every paragraph in this story is more terrifying than the last. All the way down to the end. This is so, so bad and it goes far beyond the NLRB.
HOLY SHIT. You need to read this in its entirety. Way too much to even begin to summarize but it's really, REALLY bad. It's just one agency, NLRB, but it's likely happening at others. We are under attack, seemingly from the inside. What's happening here should put folks in prison
