Every one running a primary challenge against one of the worthless corrupt democrats currently in Congress needs to make this a centerpiece of their campaign strategy. Don’t waste all your time attacking, use a “sewer socialist” style campaign like Mamdani with POLICY proposals.

This is a dangerously stupid take. THEY VOTED FOR HIM. Voting for a politician is how a citizenry expresses fandom. The endless search by “centrist” liberals for reasons for their fecklessness is infuriating and exhausting. The bots were just a tool, like direct mail was for the Reaganites.
Trump never had a fan base.
He had an army of bots who sold his racism and misogyny and xenophobia to uneducated Americans who took voting advice from bald eagle profiles posting Tweets from Eastern Europe.

Being "tough on crime" is just a call for deterrence. And study after study has shown that deterrence doesn't work, except to sate society's demand for vengeance, to treat "criminals" cruelly. And THAT isn't even deterrence at all. It's retribution, and it precludes rehabilitation.

Stellan Skarsgård has provided many great performances, but Luthen Rael is one of the best characters created for a TV series this century so far. That he was surrounded by so many other great characters and performances only elevates the accomplishment.
