Nelson's Victory crew included a Brazilian and a Russian, 2 Indians, 2 Swiss, 2 Portuguese, 3 Danes and 3 Norwegian sailors. There were 3 Germans, 4 Italians, 6 Swedes, 7 Dutchmen, 9 West Indians and an African, as well as 21 Americans, 63 Irish, 64 Scots, 441 English.... oh, and 3 French men, too.

The advanced level conversation on today's global economy. One that to be honest is barely featuring across a Europe in danger of being squeezed by the US, China, and its own incumbents.

Bonjour!
Goedemorgen!
Guten Tag!
Morning!

I doubt I'll be speaking any Dutch today on a Paris shift. German can't be ruled out. I'll probably end up speaking some French with a colleague the moment I walk in the crewroom or locker room. The mix of languages and cultures makes e* very special.
Today is the European Day of Languages. And this year, we mark 25 years of celebrating multilingualism in our Union. 🥳

Languages open doors. They help us connect, explore cultures, make lifelong friends, and journey further.

We remain stronger, united in our diversity.

Whenever Nigel Farage is properly challenged, he reminds me of those 1920s burlesque entertainers, whose act consisted of swapping the position of fans or balloons, really fast so nobody could catch a glimpse of their fanny.

What a WEAK & disastrous Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been. After last night’s welfare bill vote he doesn’t even have the respect of his own MPs.
We need a PM like Boris Johnson.
Bring him back!
Even amongst other world leaders he was universally accepted as the BOSS!

Still true:
*Britain is a success story
*Most of its cities are doing astonishingly well
*Multiculturalism is popular
*Mass immigration has not led to social disintegration
*Nostalgia is increasingly weird
*Britain is incredibly safe
*Levels of social cohesion are high

Never under estimate the ability of the US Army to do things they don't want to do poorly. Every facet of that parade was off the shelf army history script. They did exactly what they were told to do and nothing more.

The sneerers and cynics may pile into Starmer but Labour has kept a manifesto commitment today.
