Open faculty position (Assistant or Associate) in UW Medical Genetics. As you might expect, faculty often end up also interacting with Genome Sciences, so we're hoping for some great prospects! Note the clinical requirements for the position. apply.interfolio.com/176466

Thanks to @nature.com for featuring our work in this piece on genetically-encoded sensors.

The article does a great job highlighting their importance for both basic research and translational impact, such as in our lab's research on serotonin.

How genetically encoded sensors have lit up neuroscience
Tools that track specific molecules in neurons have enabled researchers to probe previously unexplored aspects of neurobiology — although important caveats remain.

A horse I loved passed away today in comfort from old age. I used to ride her for my friends from time to time. My daughter rode her too. I just love this picture of her because while she was safe and gentle, Ruby was often a little cranky. I will miss you old friend.

This ended up being amazing. Andre Levchenko organized a really well rounded day with provocative discussions! It was my first time being invited to an institute retreat and I really learned a lot, which is the highest praise I can give!
Looking forward to some great science today at Yale. Thanks to the organizers for inviting me!
