I was at a con earlier this year and there were hours-long lines for folks who spent ten seconds drawing a little doodle next to a signature and an inscription, often for hundreds of dollars. Nobody wanted a “better” remarque, they wanted to say they’d met Kyle Baker or Jerry Ordway or Peach Momoko

I'm starting to feel like I'm hosting an episode of "Jeopardy!" because I'm asking almost every player "Can you please be more specific?" on the theme guesses.
It's time to play "What's the Score?" for 20 December 2025!
Listen to the 5 music clips and guess the movie titles (1 point each) and the composer (2 points)
Guess the connection between all 5 movies and earn a 5-point bonus!

I think I realized what my issue is with these IT adaptations: Pennywise is just scarier as text on a page. the second you render him as a physical, visual presence, it’s like…this is just a guy in a clown costume. I guess what I’m saying is the idea of IT is far more disturbing than the image.

The planned hepatitis B birth-dose trial in Guinea-Bissau raises serious ethical concerns. Withholding a proven, life-saving vaccine from newborns to answer speculative questions is an absence of equipoise with real downstream harms for trust in vaccines.

Or has America sunk too far into authoritarian kleptocratic oligarchy, that this is no longer possible?

Once again, writing a book about the head of the DOJ's Civil Rights Division in the 1960s, when it was *not* working on behalf of racist shitweasels in defense of white supremacy, is giving me whiplash more and more these days.
Question: When the head of the DOJ’s Civil Rights division tweets out a false statement about an individual that results in them being barraged with death threats based on their religion and ethnicity, which governmental agency would look into whether that student’s Civil Rights had been infringed?

IIRC, this is the first time something I've written for comics has sold out and gone back to press. I want to say thank you again for the support, especially during what's been an absolutely miserable year in so many ways. Some special things coming up in Bat/Stat, and maybe a small surprise or two.
Good news if you missed the first issue of Batman/Static: Beyond #1... 2nd printing of the debut issue hits on February 4. Issue #2 is out next week on 12/24! (Makes a schway last-minute stocking stuffer, just saying)

The dogs and I thank you.

There have been some hard times this year, and this is a consistent bright spot I’m incredibly grateful for.

Always delightful to pull them out of the mail, and I’m glad to support such a rad artist.
