In news totally ignored by all major news outlets the Co-op has said "Today’s Budget provides the clarity & certainty that small shops and local communities have been waiting for".

Our Labour government ARE taxing wealth.

They ARE making the wealthiest in society pay more.

They did it in the last Budget & I expect more tomorrow.

Anyone who says it's not happening is lying to you.

Anyone who promotes phrases like 'tax billionaires' with no details is selling false hope.

COP30

The Energy Secretary has made a statement in the Commons about the outcome of COP30.

Here is a clip of his follow up to the Tory shadow minister's response.

"The truth is, there is only route to energy security in the modern world, which is clean, homegrown power that we control."

Probably won’t see this in mainstream media - aka the right wing press - coz it’s against their narrative. Wind energy in Britain broke a new record last week with nearly 23GW on the grid one cold windy evening. That was 56% of all electricity on Britain’s grid.

That’s the difference in leadership.

A strong immigration system doesn't need to be a cruel one.

It shouldn't need saying - but refugees & asylum seekers are real people, fleeing war and persecution.

This daughter of an immigrant is proud of our British and Labour values of respect and not turning our backs on people in real need.

Some important reminders about migration in the UK...

Migration is generally good for the UK.

Migration is necessary to get staff for essentail jobs & attact the brightest.

Migrants contribute more on average than they pay.

Many migrants have to pay extra for some public services - eg NHS.
